The Cult of Gocco

2008: the death of not only some of my favorite photographic films, but also that of a little Japanese wonder known as Print Gocco. Somehow the gods find out what crafty indulgences win me over and then see if my mortal guile can survive without them. Well, I’ve stocked the craft shelter with enough bulbs, screens, and ink to survive the bomb. This is the first print I made with my Gocco, a tribute to my brother. As a kid, he used to think the TV announcer was saying, “Coming soon to a feaneater near you.” I thought it would be best glorified with metallic gold ink on cream.
